Job summary

NWU in Kansas City, MO invites students pursuing accounting or business to join as a paid, full-time summer intern. You will assist with general accounting activities, prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and help with monthly close tasks.

You will also support reporting such as sales and gross margin by customer and product line, help with operating plan schedules, gather data, and perform routine administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in accounting or business.
• US Persons status may be required (if applicable to internship eligibility).
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Familiarity with basic accounting software or accounting spreadsheets.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Self-directed, results-oriented, and flexible.
• Ability to sit and view a computer monitor for long periods.

About You

• US Persons status is required
