Job summary

StandardAero in Kansas City is seeking a paid summer internship focused on general accounting activities. You will assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and data preparation for reports.

Ideal candidates are current students in accounting or business, US Persons, with basic accounting knowledge and MS Excel skills. The program runs for three months and offers hands-on training and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Students pursuing a degree in accounting, business administration, or related field from an accredited college or university or with equivalent background.
• US Persons status is required.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Familiarity with basic accounting software or accounting spreadsheets.
• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Self-directed, results-oriented, and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general accounting activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts at month-end close
• Support financial data and report preparation, such as sales and gross margin reports by customer and product line financial statements
• Assist with annual operating plan schedules and other reports as needed
• Collect data to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures

• Support financial data and report preparation, such as sales and gross margin reports by customer and product line financial statements
• Assist with annual operating plan schedules and other reports as needed

• Carry out other related duties as required
