Job summary

HDR invites engineering students to join our Transportation Business Group in Florida as interns. You will support design and planning efforts across roadway, bridge, aviation, and multimodal projects, gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative, employee-owned culture.

You'll work with CAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, GIS, and related technologies, while receiving mentorship and professional development opportunities to shape a future in engineering.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Active participation in HDR's employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Support engineers and project teams on transportation planning, design, and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with roadway, bridge, aviation, transit, and multimodal transportation assignments.
• Participate in field visits, project meetings, and technical analyses.
• Utilize engineering software, GIS tools, and industry technologies to solve real-world challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Desire to learn, collaborate, and contribute in a professional environment.
• Experience with CAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, GIS, or similar software is a plus.
