Cerity Partners in Louisville, KY is seeking a Tax Intern for our 2027 Summer Internship program. This paid internship (30-40 hours per week) offers hands-on experience in tax projects and exposure to senior leadership.

You will assist in preparing federal, state, and local returns, create workpapers, and use tax software like UltraTax CS, Engagement Manager, and SurePrep.

Required: enrolled undergrad with a 3.2 GPA, finance/accounting major, strong MS Office skills, and a collaborative mindset.

• Be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university with a minimum 3.2 GPA.
• Majoring in Finance, Accounting, or related business degree.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Applications.
• Actively participating in campus organizations, preferably within a leadership role, and/or professional work experience.

• Participate in financial planning and tax projects, as assigned.
• Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local individual and business income tax returns in UltraTax CS (tax preparation software).
• Create workpapers in Engagement Manager (workpaper organization/preparation software) and SurePrep (workpaper organization/preparation software) that effectively tell the story of how projects were prepared.
• Utilize FirmFlow (CRM/project management) and GoFileRoom (document storage) to maintain an accurate status of workflows.
• Research and analyze a wide range of tax issues.
• Other duties as requested by Tax Advisors and Tax Administrators

This role is also ideal for someone looking for a part‑time seasonal position in the financial industry at a nationally recognized registered investment advisory.
