Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Supply Chain Intern for Spring 2027 to gain hands-on experience in procurement, inventory control, and data-driven decision making within a fast-paced space hardware environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration, communication, and learning across the supply chain function while supporting daily operations onsite at our facilities in Austin, TX. This internship is paid and designed for current students pursuing degrees in supply chain disciplines.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in BS/MS/PhD in supply chain management or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or data analysis tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong teamwork.
• Knowledge of supply chain concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with indirect procurement activities to support the business operations.
• Maintain supply chain inventory and records.
• Collect, analyze, and summarize supply chain data to identify trends and areas for improvement; prepare reports and presentations.
• Track supply chain effectiveness, efficiency, and opportunities.
• Assist with inventory management by supporting tracking and analysis of inventory.
• Provide general administrative support to the supply chain team, including maintaining documentation and organizing files.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with indirect procurement activities to support the business operations
• Maintain supply chain inventory and records
• Collect, analyze, and summarize supply chain data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to the supply chain team.
• Track supply chain effectiveness, efficiency, and opportunities
• Assist with inventory management by supporting the tracking, monitoring, and analysis of inventory
• Provide general administrative support to the supply chain team, including maintaining documentation, organizing files, and participating in meetings.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science (BS), Master of Science (MS), or PhD program in supply chain management, logistics, operations management, or a related field at an accredited university.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
• Great project management and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of supply chain concepts and principles is a plus.
