The AI Enablement Intern supports the AI Enablement organization by helping build a collaborative and enthusiastic internal AI community. This role assists with creating and sharing learning resources that help employees understand and adopt AI tools.

The Intern will help translate AI concepts into simple, engaging learning experiences and assist with creating demos, quick-start guides, and training materials. They will work closely with AI subject matter experts, support ongoing training programs, and help employees learn how to use approved AI tools confidently.

This internship is ideal for a student who enjoys teaching others, communicating technical ideas simply, and exploring new AI trends. A passion for sharing AI knowledge and supporting others in their learning is essential.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Assist AI teams in identifying opportunities to improve employee AI adoption and knowledge-sharing.
  • Help build training materials, simple demos, toolkits, and quick-start guides that explain AI concepts in accessible ways.
  • Support coordination and delivery of workshops, training sessions, and enablement programs.
  • Provide basic guidance to employees exploring AI tools or workflows, helping them understand available resources and best practices.
  • Partner with technical teams to stay aware of emerging AI trends and help incorporate them into learning content.
  • Gather feedback on training sessions to help improve content and the overall employee learning experience.
  • Assist in tracking participation, maintaining documentation, and preparing engagement summaries.
  • Support intake and coordination of enablement requests from business teams.
Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position: Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in computer science, information technology, data science, business, or a related field. Minimum 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale is required.

Minimum Experience Required Of The Position
  • Prior experience with AI tools, data analytics coursework, or student projects involving AI is helpful but not required.
  • Experience helping others learn (student tutor, club leader, peer mentor, project presenter, etc.) is a plus.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required Of The Position
  • Basic understanding of AI or machine learning concepts (coursework or self-taught).
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Passion for AI, emerging technologies, and helping people learn new tools.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Comfort experimenting with new software tools and learning independently.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, analytics tools, or programming is helpful but not required.
  • Interest in the utility or energy sector is a plus.
Any Certificates, Licenses, Etc. Required For The Position

No certificates required; however, credentials such as AWS Certified AI Practitioner or similar AI‑focused training certifications are a plus.

Working Conditions/Essential Functions/Physical Requirements

Office environment with minimal physical requirements.
