Leonardo DRS is seeking a Summer 2027 Software Engineering Intern in Beavercreek, OH. The role involves assisting engineers with assignments, learning company fundamentals, and performing design analyses under supervision.

The intern will work on basic testing, data gathering, and task completion while developing interpersonal skills and building a network within the engineering team. U.S. citizenship and potential security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Engineering student; progress toward engineering degree.
• Basic C or C++ experience.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to build a network.
• Must be diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in various engineering assignments.
• Carry out basic work instructions to learn company fundamentals.
• Conduct limited scope testing under supervision.
• Complete assigned tasks on time.
• Gather and assemble data for engineers.
• May assist in research in a specific field.
• Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under supervision.
• Assist engineers with design details.
• Maintain good interpersonal relations and network.
• Perform tasks to gain familiarity with engineering staff and methods.
• Support and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Work closely with and assist engineers in the conduct of various engineering assignments
