Job summary

PACCAR invites students to join the Sales Operations/Sales Planning internship, gaining hands-on experience in processing truck sales orders, promoting efficiency, and supporting data-driven decision making.

You will work with Senior Managers, gain mentoring, and participate in projects that help reach annual sales goals. This internship begins May or June 2027 and offers comprehensive benefits in a Fortune 500 environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with a focus in Marketing, Operations, or related fields.
• Junior or senior standing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support sales order processing and coordination within the Sales Planning and Operations teams.
• Assist in tracking sales promotions by creating queries and running reports.
• Gather data, analyze and update Sales and Delivery reports as assigned.
• Answer dealer inquiries about order status.
• Support team members on vacation with document archiving and data entry.
• Facilitate credit/debit transactions between Kenworth and dealers.

Requisition Summary

The Sales Operations/Sales Planning Department is involved in every step in the life of an order, starting before the order is received until it is retailed to the end user. This dynamic team is constantly challenged to balance market conditions, division goals, dealer needs, and management reporting.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

As part of the Sales Planning and Operations teams, you will support job functions related to processing and coordinating truck sales orders.

• Provide ideas and fresh perspective to identify areas of opportunity and create efficiencies in department processes such as: sales order processing, invoice review and truck delivery communications.
• Support the management and tracking of sales promotions to include creating queries, running reports and providing analysis.
• Gather information, analyze data, and assist in updating Sales and Delivery reports as assigned.
• Assist in answering dealer inquiries about the status of their orders.
• Support team members on vacation by managing document archiving, data entry and report reviews.
• Facilitate credit/debit transactions between Kenworth and the dealer network.
• Participate in special projects to help departments achieve annual sales goals
