Qualifications

Pursuit of a Master or PhD degree; current student.
Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week in summer.
Background in mobile networks and Cloud/Edge computing with 4G/5G/6G.
Experience with data-intensive applications, e.g., video streaming.
Proficient in C++, Java/Kotlin or Python; multithreading and RT systems.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Understand current cellular network status and QoE concepts.
Design and implement QoE-enhancing algorithms to reduce latency and improve service continuity.
Develop end-to-end vehicle and Cloud/Edge systems supporting the design algorithms.
Implement and test end-to-end systems in GM test vehicles; document ideas.
Extensively evaluate system performance with data-driven test scenarios.
Communicate results and collaborate with team members.
