D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Purchasing Intern. The internship program is designed to provide students with hands‑on experience, professional development, and exposure to career opportunities within D.R. Horton, its affiliated business functions, and the homebuilding and homebuying process. Interns are assigned to a primary department or functional area and gain experience through departmental rotations, project work, administrative support, research, reporting, training, office and field-based activities, jobsite observation, systems support, and other learning opportunities based on departmental needs, location, and business priorities.

Currently enrolled in an accredited four‑year college or university and entering junior or senior year, or recently graduated
Pursuing a degree or coursework related to the assigned internship area, including but not limited to business, technology, finance, construction, real estate, human resources, marketing, communications, operations, or other relevant fields
Demonstrated interest in learning about career opportunities within homebuilding, financial services, land development, corporate operations, technology, customer service, or other D.R. Horton business functions
Strong willingness to learn, take initiative, ask questions, and contribute in a professional team environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members, customers, and business partners
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and follow instructions in a fast‑paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn new software, systems, and processes as needed
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to adapt to varying work environments, including office, field, jobsite, corporate, remote, or hybrid settings, depending on the internship assignment.
