PACCAR's Kenworth Division in Kirkland, WA invites enrolled undergraduate or graduate students to join a Product Planning internship. You will work on market research, cross-functional teams, and product development activities that shape next‑generation trucks.

This paid internship begins May or June 2027, offering learning opportunities and benefits. Candidates should pursue Business, Marketing, or Engineering studies and bring strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related fields.
• Junior or senior standing preferred.
• Interest in trucking industry and product planning.

Responsabilités

• Assist in conducting market research to understand customer needs and opportunities for new products or product improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, sales, and operations to support product development and launches.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, competition, and customer feedback to inform product decisions.
• Assist in the development of a forecasting tool.
• Learn the product development life cycle, including design, prototyping, and testing.
• Assist with planning and implementing customer-focused research events.

Requisition Summary

Kenworth Division of PACCAR is looking for a highly motivated individual who is interested in gaining professional Product Planning experience in an industry-leading manufacturing company to join our internship Program in Kirkland, WA.

Internships are scheduled to begin May or June 2027

Job Functions / Responsibilities

This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limitedto:

• Assist in conducting market research to understand customer needs and identify opportunities for new products or product improvements
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including R&D, marketing, sales, and operations, to help ensure successful product development and launch
• Monitor and analyze market trends, competition, and customer feedback to inform product decisions
• Assist in the development of a forecasting tool
• Learn about the product development life cycle and product development process, including design, prototyping, and testing.
• Assist with the planning and implementation of customer‑focused research events

Skills / Competencies

• Strong interest in the trucking industry and product planning
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform product decisions
• Must be able to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Knowledge of or some experience in Human Centered Design
• Comfortable and effective in interacting with managers, co‑workers, and customers
• Strong professionalism

Education

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or other related fields

• Junior or senior standing preferred
