Job summary

TLC Engineering Solutions Inc. is offering a summer internship for mechanical or architectural engineering students in Tennessee. You will apply classroom knowledge to real projects from concept to construction completion, under mentorship from seasoned engineers.

This is a full-time summer role with a hybrid schedule and potential part-time work after the summer depending on performance. Ideal candidates are ABET-accredited students who can commit to 40 hours per week from May through August

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing an ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering.
• Desire to pursue a career in engineering consulting and ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) May–August 2026.
• Computer software knowledge or ability to learn Revit, IES VE, etc.

Responsibilities

• Apply academic education to tasks on real projects from concept to completion of construction.
• Receive on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced engineers to learn Revit drafting/modeling and HVAC/plumbing design.
• Support a multi-disciplinary engineering team in a high-growth environment.

How Do Summer Internships Work?Interns start mid-May and work until early August and work full-time (40 hours per week). TLC provides flexible schedule options with various start times. Interns have the benefit of TLC’s hybrid schedule where they can work up to 3 days from home. There are opportunities for Interns to continue after the summer on a part-time basis dependent upon performance and school schedule.Responsibilities:The Intern will work at applying academic education to assigned tasks on real projects of all sizes and types from concept to completion of construction.
