Job summary

TLC Engineering Solutions in Tampa, FL invites an Entry Level Engineering Internship for May–August 2026. The position is full-time at 40 hours per week with flexible start times and a hybrid schedule allowing up to 3 days from home.

You will gain hands-on experience applying coursework to real projects from concept to construction, with on-the-job training in Revit drafting, modeling, and HVAC and plumbing system design under mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing an ABET accredited bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering
• Desire to pursue a career in engineering consulting
• Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) from May through August 2026
• Computer software knowledge or ability to learn (Revit, IES VE, etc.)

Responsibilities

• The Intern will work at applying academic education to assigned tasks on real projects of all sizes and types from concept to completion of construction.
• They are provided on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced engineers to learn the basics of Revit drafting / modeling and mechanical design of HVAC and plumbing systems.

Interns start mid-May and work until early August and work full-time (40 hours per week).

• TLC provides flexible schedule options with various start times.
• Interns have the benefit of TLC’s hybrid schedule where they can work up to 3 days from home.
• There are opportunities for Interns to continue after the summer on a part-time basis dependent upon performance and school schedule.
