Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking an intern to support planning and scheduling activities in a manufacturing environment. You will assist in creating and updating production schedules, analyze data, and prepare dashboards to track performance.

The role involves data entry in ERP systems, collaboration with production and procurement teams, and participation in lean/Six Sigma initiatives to improve planning processes.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in a related field; strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts).
  • Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating, updating and monitoring daily/weekly production schedules.
  • Identify shortages or overages of materials and recommend actions.
  • Collect and analyze production data.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for planning and performance tracking.
  • Enter and maintain data in ERP systems.
  • Support data accuracy for materials, BOMs, and routing.
  • Coordinate with production, kanban technician, procurement, and logistics teams.
  • Participate in daily production meetings and planning reviews.
  • Identify inefficiencies in planning or scheduling processes.
  • Support lean manufacturing or Six Sigma projects.
  • Document standard operating procedures related to planning.
  • Maintain planning-related documentation and training materials.
  • Attend training sessions on planning tools, systems, and methodologies.
