Job summary

Advantage Capital, a US-based investment firm, seeks an Investment Analyst for a Summer 2027 start. The role supports financial analysis, forecasting, and deal execution across multiple industries.

Travel for on-site due diligence is required, with collaboration on underwriting and closing of subordinated debt, senior debt, venture capital, and growth equity transactions, along with portfolio-monitoring support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 0-1 years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
• Financial analysis and modeling experience
• Excellent verbal and written communications skill

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial analysis and forecasting.
• Meet with management and conduct on-site due diligence with travel across the United States a few days per month.
• Work on deal teams during due diligence, underwriting, and closing of subordinated debt, senior debt, venture capital, or growth equity transactions.
• Prepare financial models and investment presentations for internal committee approval.
• Support portfolio-company monitoring activities (quarterly reviews, board calls, follow-on investments).
• Be a point-of-contact for existing portfolio companies.
• Learn program structures of New Markets Tax Credits, Solar, Rural Jobs & Investments Act, and other programs.
• Collaborate with legislative and compliance teams to capture investment impact and job data.
