Job summary

Shine BrightX LLC is seeking a motivated merchandising intern for the summer in Stamford, CT. You will analyze fashion trends, assist with competitive analysis, and support seasonal line adoption and sample management.

You'll work closely with business leaders, prepare line sheets, and learn to read weekly selling reports by category and style. Strong Excel skills and organization are essential in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• Rising college senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in merchandising or related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

• Analyze and interpret fashion trends in the business
• Assist with competitive analysis projects
• Help with seasonal line adoption preparation
• Assist in sample management and organization
• Help with meeting preparation and materials, including creating and formatting line sheets and running analysis reporting
• Learn to run and read weekly selling reports and analyze the business at the category and style level
• Support day-to-day operations within the designated department and provide assistance to other departments as needed
• Handle administrative tasks throughout the office
• Work on a group project throughout the summer and present findings to management
• Receive direction and guidance from a group of business leaders on the project

About You

The company is looking for:

• Rising seniors in college, working towards a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in merchandising or a related field
• Strong organizational skills
• Self-motivated, professional, dependable team players
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn and take initiative
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Good academic standing and passion for the retail industry
