Job summary

Stryker Group is seeking an Intern in Ortho Sales in Lenexa, KS, to gain hands-on experience with medical technology and sales processes. You will shadow Sales Associates and Operations Team Members, support kit delivery, and contribute to marketing projects while developing professional skills.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a related bachelor's degree, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and possess strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; must plan to enroll in a degree program after the summer.
• Cumulative GPA 3.0 or above preferred.
• Must be a U.S. permanent resident or U.S. citizen.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities; able to manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Sales Associates, Sales Representatives, and Operations Team Members to learn branch operations and attend/prepare a sales presentation.
• Develop a project segment to create a target account list or marketing strategy.
• Learn selling skills and instrument use with coaching from sales teams.
• Shadow and assist team members delivering kits to accounts.
• Assist warehouse team in assembling/breaking down instrument kits for surgery.
• Interact with various teams regarding products.

What you need

• Currently working oncompletion of Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan to be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer

What you will do

• Shadow Sales Associates, Sales Representatives, and Operations Team Members to gain insight into all aspects of the branch; Attend and/or prepare a sales presentation
• Prepare a project segment that develops a target account list and or development of a marketing potential or strategy
• Learn selling skills, processes, and instrument use techniques by coaching/mentoring support from Sales Representatives, Sales Associates and Sales Managers
• Shadow and assist Team Member Drivers with the delivery of kits to and from account
• Assist Team Members in warehouse in assembling and breaking down instrument kits, preparing products for surgery, etc.
• Interact with various teams concerning the products
• Assist Sales and Field Operations Teams with special projects as assigned

$20 min hourly wage – $35 max hourly wage, sign-on bonus, 11 paid holidays annually, and either paid corporate housing or a living stipend, dependent upon hiring location
