Job summary

Stryker Group in Austin, TX is seeking an Intern in Ortho Sales to support branch operations and learn the sales process end-to-end.

You will shadow sales and operations teams, prepare account lists or marketing strategies, and gain hands-on experience with instrument kits and product handling. Strong communication and multitasking are essential for this internship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field with plan to enroll in a degree-seeking program after the summer.
• GPA 3.0 or above preferred.
• US permanent resident or citizen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Flexible, adaptable to changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Sales Associates, Sales Representatives, and Operations Team Members to gain insight into all aspects of the branch; attend and/or prepare a sales presentation.
• Prepare a project segment that develops a target account list or marketing potential/strategy.
• Learn selling skills and instrument use techniques with coaching from Sales staff.
• Shadow and assist Team Members in delivering kits to and from accounts.
• Assist Team Members in warehouse tasks, preparing products for surgery.
• Interact with various teams concerning the products.
• Assist Sales and Field Operations Teams with special projects as assigned.

What you will do

• Shadow Sales Associates, Sales Representatives, and Operations Team Members to gain insight into all aspects of the branch; Attend and/or prepare a sales presentation
• Prepare a project segment that develops a target account list and or development of a marketing potential or strategy
• Learn selling skills, processes, and instrument use techniques by coaching/mentoring support from Sales Representatives, Sales Associates and Sales Managers
• Shadow and assist Team Member Drivers with the delivery of kits to and from account
• Assist Team Members in warehouse in assembling and breaking down instrument kits, preparing products for surgery, etc.
• Interact with various teams concerning the products
• Assist Sales and Field Operations Teams with special projects as assigned

$20 min hourly wage – $35 max hourly wage, sign-on bonus, 11 paid holidays annually, and either paid corporate housing or a living stipend, dependent upon hiring location
