Job summary

Stryker is seeking an Intern, Ortho Sales in Morristown, NJ to gain hands-on exposure to the latest medical technology and sales processes. You will shadow Sales Associates, participate in account development, and learn instrument use techniques under guidance from the Sales team.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field and plan to enroll in a degree-seeking program after summer.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above preferred.
• Must be a U.S. permanent resident or U.S. citizen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Versatility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment.
• Proficient with basic computer programs: MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated leadership and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Sales Associates, Sales Representatives, and Operations Team Members to learn branch operations.
• Prepare a project segment to develop a target account list or marketing strategy.
• Learn selling skills and instrument use techniques with coaching from sales teams.
• Shadow and assist Team Members with kit deliveries to/from accounts.
• Assist warehouse staff with assembling/breaking down instrument kits and prepping products for surgery.
• Interact with various teams regarding products.
• Support Sales and Field Operations with special projects.

What you will do

• Shadow Sales Associates, Sales Representatives, and Operations Team Members to gain insight into all aspects of the branch; Attend and/or prepare a sales presentation
• Prepare a project segment that develops a target account list and or development of a marketing potential or strategy
• Learn selling skills, processes, and instrument use techniques by coaching/mentoring support from Sales Representatives, Sales Associates and Sales Managers
• Shadow and assist Team Member Drivers with the delivery of kits to and from account
• Assist Team Members in warehouse in assembling and breaking down instrument kits, preparing products for surgery, etc.
• Interact with various teams concerning the products
• Assist Sales and Field Operations Teams with special projects as assigned

$20 min hourly wage – $35 max hourly wage, sign-on bonus, 11 paid holidays annually, and either paid corporate housing or a living stipend, dependent upon hiring location
