Job summary

John Burns Research and Consulting is seeking a Summer 2027 Internship in Irvine, CA. This in-person role supports the Events, Marketing and New Home Trends Institute teams, with a capstone project and a final presentation after a 10-week program.

Interns work 40 hours per week at our Irvine office, starting May or June 2027. Salary is $25/hour. Applicants should submit a cover letter and resume explaining interest and goals for the internship.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.3 or higher and expected graduation Dec 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Rising seniors or master’s student preferred.
• Marketing, communications, business or related field studies.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Experience with social media platforms is a plus.
• Familiarity with marketing tools like Zoom, Adobe Suite, Hubspot, CVENT.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and execution of events from concept to completion.
• Coordinate event logistics and support marketing efforts.
• Develop marketing strategies to promote events across platforms.
• Create and schedule social content for events, engagements, brand awareness.
• Collaborate on content creation for campaigns (graphics, copy, videos).
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas.
• Assist with email marketing, lists, templates, and campaign tracking.
