Wayne State University in Washington, DC seeks a Summer 2027 Intern for Board Internal Communications to support the delivery of informative and engaging internal news to employees.

Duties include writing articles, producing profiles, creating videos/graphics, planning events, assisting with user research, and updating files and processes; on-site presence is required. Applicants must be current students graduating August 2027 or later and U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in communications or design.
• Writing, video production, and/or graphics skills desired.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• SharePoint Online skill a plus.

Summer 2027 Intern, Board Internal Communications- MFS

As a summer intern with Board Internal Communications, you will support the team in providing informative and engaging news and information to our internal employee audience.

Depending on your skills and interests, in conjunction with the team's summer needs, duties and projects could include:

• Writing news articles
• Producing employee profiles
• Creating videos, graphics, and/or infographics
• Planning and supporting employee meetings or other events
• Assisting with user research
• Assisting with documentation and updating files and processes

About You (Skills & Background)

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with a background in communications or design.
• Writing, video production, and/or graphics skills desired.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• SharePoint Online skill a plus

Location: This position requires an on-site presence at our offices in Washington, D.C.

Note: U.S. Citizenship is required. Applicants must be current students, graduating from their program August 2027 or later. Proof of enrollment will be required.
