Job summary

Southern Arkansas University in Washington, DC, is seeking a Summer 2027 Intern for Board Internal Communications to support creation of informative content for our internal employee audience. The role may involve writing news articles, producing employee profiles, and making visuals to support communications efforts.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an undergrad or grad program in communications or design with skills in writing, video production, and graphics, and proficiency in MS Office;

Qualifications

• Writing, video production, and/or graphics skills desired.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• SharePoint Online skill a plus.

As a summer intern with Board Internal Communications, you will support the team in providing informative and engaging news and information to our internal employee audience.

Depending on your skills and interests, in conjunction with the team's summer needs, duties and projects could include:

• Writing news articles
• Producing employee profiles
• Creating videos, graphics, and/or infographics
• Planning and supporting employee meetings or other events
• Assisting with user research
• Assisting with documentation and updating files and processes

About You (Skills & Background)

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with a background in communications or design.

Location: This position requires an on-site presence at our offices in Washington, D.C.

Note: U.S. Citizenship is required. Applicants must be current students, graduating from their program August 2027 or later. Proof of enrollment will be required.
