Permian Resources offers a paid Geology Internship in Midland, Texas for Summer 2027. Interns will work with a team of Geologists and Reservoir and Geoscience specialists to integrate data sets and contribute to reservoir modeling.

The program provides mentorship, field tours, training, and networking opportunities with executives, culminating in a presentation of work assignments and learnings.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Pursuing or have completed a degree in Geosciences or related fields.
• Current college level: Sophomore through Graduate student.
• Expected graduation Fall 2028 through Spring/Fall 2029.
• Available for internship start mid-late May 2027.
• A minimum of 12 weeks’ availability for internship.

Responsibilities

• Assist geologists and reservoir/geoscience teams on projects.
• Integrate data sets including reservoir behavior and well performance.
• Perform advanced mapping, log analysis, play fairway analysis, and core analysis.
• Integrate seismic and public data into reservoir models.
• Present findings to the team and mentors.

The candidate will work with a team of Geologists, Reservoir and Geoscience specialists to integrate data sets including reservoir behavior and well performance.
