Job summary

Stfrancis is offering an 8-week internship in healthcare finance and operations. You will develop financial operations improvement initiatives for a large multi-specialty physician group, analyze profitability, and support hospital efficiency.

Qualifications

• Rising senior undergraduate student graduating in 2028, enrolled in a bachelor’s program.
• Pursuing a degree in finance, healthcare management, or a related area.
• Interest in finance and healthcare, with completion of finance or accounting courses.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Exceptional communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Knowledge of computers and various Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and provide statistical analysis.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Develop financial operations improvement initiatives for a large multi-specialty physician group.
• Analyze program and service line profitability.
• Assist financial operations to maximize hospital efficiency and effectiveness.
• Analyze various general ledger accounts and generate revenue and expense reports.
• Track new expenses and conduct reconciliation activities as needed.
• Work on special data-oriented projects.
• Present project results to Senior Leadership, Project Hosts, and Mentors at the end of the 8-week internship.
• Participate in hospital tours and volunteer opportunities to understand organizational activities.
• Engage with Senior Leadership and attend networking and team-building events.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $66,500 to $91,000 annually.
