Job summary

Massachusetts Financial Services Company (MFS) offers a Summer Internship in Finance. The 10-12 week program runs June 9, 2027 to August 13, 2027, with interns working full-time (Mon-Fri), 35-40 hours/week, paid hourly. The role is a hybrid on-site/remote position, and all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Ad hoc projects and analysis as required.

At the conclusion of this position, interns will have increased their knowledge of investing, the mutual fund industry, employee engagement, and a firm understanding of how finance works at an asset manager. The MFS Summer Internship program is a 10-12-week program, starting June 9th, 2027, and ending on August 13th, 2027. Students work full-time, Monday through Friday, 35-40 hours per week and are paid hourly. All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Internships are open to students who are rising seniors (class of 2028). MFS is a hybrid work environment (with 2 remote days and 3 on-site days) unless otherwise stated in the job posting.

THE ROLE

Our finance team works side by side with each business group to capture financial information including revenue and expenses as well as key metrics that drive the business such as sales and assets. By working closely with our Corporate Finance team, this associate supports the financial and operational needs of the business through reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Monthly analysis of general ledger accounts and activity.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Working toward a Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in finance, accounting or other related financial discipline.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including listening skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills, and self-motivated.
• Ability and willingness to handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced casual yet professional environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and organization.

Hourly Pay Rate: $21.00-$25.00
