Job summary

Olsson is seeking a summer 2027 student intern for our Construction Administration and Management team. You will perform meaningful, hands-on work that connects classroom learning to real-world civil infrastructure projects, including inspection and documentation tasks.

You will learn to read engineering drawings, specifications, and codes while developing skills in client communication and contractor management. Expect varied weather conditions and potential weekend work or travel.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in construction management, civil engineering, construction engineering, surveying, or a related field.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work in varied weather and terrain conditions.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving history.
• Ability to work overtime hours during the summer as needed based on project workload.
• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction management, construction administration, observation and inspection tasks.
• Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and codes.
• Develop skills in project documentation and client/stakeholder communication.
• Work in diverse terrains and weather conditions; weekend work or overnight travel may be required.
