Job summary

Enterprise is offering a Full-Time Summer Accounting Internship based at our Glen Allen, VA headquarters. The role provides exposure to basic accounting procedures, financial statement preparation, and analysis as you support the finance team.

You will assist with accounting duties, work with multiple departments, and learn KPIs and reporting processes. This 40-hour per week internship runs May–August 2027 and pays $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full time in a college/university in Accounting or Finance with graduation date by December 2027 or May 2028.
• Experience in accounting, accounts payable/receivable or bookkeeping preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements and analysis.
• Work closely with rental branches and other departments.
• Review analytics and KPIs of the business.
• Assist accounting managers with reports and reconciliations.
• Involved with A/P & A/R functions; cash receipts.
• Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as needed

This is a Full-Time Summer Internship beginning in May 2027 and ending in August 2027 that pays $20.00/hour. This position is based out of our administrative headquarters in Glen Allen, VA.

Responsibilities

Starting as an Accounting Intern, you will be exposed to basic accounting procedures and principles ranging from accounts payable and receivable systems to financial statement, preparation, and analysis. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist in preparing financial statement & analysis
• Work closely with rental branches and other departments
• Review analytics and Key Performance Indicators of business
• Assist accounting managers with reports, etc.
• Involved with A/P & A/R functions; cash receipts
• Assist in accounting schedules & reconciliations.
• Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be enrolled full time in a college/university in a bachelors degree program in Accounting or Finance with a graduation date by December 2027 or May 2028
• Experience in accounting, accounts payable/receivable or bookkeeping preferred
• Must have basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 convicted moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years (Total points on driving record cannot exceed 8 points).
• No drug or alcohol related violations on driving record in the past 3 years.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• Must be available to work a Full-Time 40 hour schedule during the Summer Internship.
