Position Summary

The Suite Attendant is responsible for set-up, maintaining, execution, and tear down of advanced and event-day food and beverage service for Principal Park suites. The employee is responsible to oversee their assigned suites or other private event location(s) during events. Employees must provide excellent guest service and maintain excellent attendance. Availability to work a regular event-based schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $4.35 plus tips.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellent guest service.
  • Assist the Suites Coordinator & Manager as required in preparation for the event, including stocking suite products, following opening and closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the Suite Pantry and other storage areas, along with other assigned tasks.
  • Maintain current tickets for designated suites as orders are placed. Present accurate final checks to guests. Report client orders accurately, including tax & service charges.
  • Serve meals to guests or replenish food for buffet service. Check all food & beverage delivered for accuracy and quality.
  • Read and comprehend complex documents, including Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), for setting up guest events with proper linen, dishware, glassware, flatware, and executing service as per the event menu & timeline.
  • Serve beverages responsibly, including alcoholic beverages, and accurately account for all alcohol served. Ensure proper guest identification and age verification according to regulations. Communicate “last call” and report cut-off needs as required.
  • Maintain positive interactions with co-workers, meet uniform standards, and keep a well-groomed appearance. Report safety, service, health, or guest intoxication concerns immediately.
  • Respond to customer requests and concerns respectfully, communicate with management, and refill condiments and supplies as needed. Bus suites throughout the event.
  • Clean and polish buffet equipment, lock refrigerators and liquor cabinets at shift end.
  • Replace tableware and linens as needed, maintain a clean and organized work space following sanitization, health, and safety standards.
  • Occasionally assist with bartending as directed.
Qualifications
  • Age 18 or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One or more years’ experience in food service or as a server.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Professional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strict confidentiality regarding private company information.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Self-directed and team-oriented work approach.
  • Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on the Iowa Cubs Baseball schedule (March-September).
