Job summary

Michigan Sugar Company seeks a Silo Attendant at the Carrollton Warehouse. This full-time, hourly role involves safe operation of silo and sugar handling equipment, maintaining levels and quality checks, and supporting packaging operations.

Qualifications

Computer skills, math, written and oral communication skills are required.
Follow all SQF & GMP quality system guidelines and safety practices.
Physically able to lift up to 50lbs and work indoors or outdoors.
Maintain a valid fork truck license; work any shift and weekend overtime as required.

Responsibilities

Operate inbound and outbound sugar handling equipment as well as the silo equipment.
Inspect silos, bins, and rotex screens to ensure equipment is operating properly.
Clean and maintain rotex as needed.
Obtain samples and bring them to the Quality Lab for analysis.
Take, record and communicate silo measurements as required.
Perform CP and CCP checks as required per Michigan Sugar policies.
Repetitive lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50lbs.
Communicate issues to Maintenance, Warehouse Leader, Supervisor, or Manager.
Perform additional duties as needed.
