Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a SUE Technician to perform subsurface utility investigations at the job site. You will use GPR, electromagnetic locators, and vacuum excavation to locate utilities and prepare field sketches and as-built data.

Responsibilities include coordinating with project managers and engineers, ensuring safe excavation practices, and maintaining equipment. Travel to various job sites may be required and a pre-employment drug screen will be

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years experience in SUE or utility locating.
• Ability to read and interpret construction/utility plans.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel; valid driver’s license; pass drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform subsurface utility investigations using GPR, electromagnetic locators, and vacuum excavation tools.
• Locate and identify underground utilities (gas, electric, water, telecom).
• Prepare and interpret field sketches, utility drawings, and as-built data.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field staff for accurate reporting and safe excavation.

Education

High school diploma or GED

1-2 years SUE/utility locating experience

Read/interpret construction and utility plans

Attention to detail and problem-solving

Willingness to travel; valid driver’s license
