McKim & Creed is seeking a SUE Technician I to join our employee-owned team in South Carolina. You will operate ground-penetrating radar and other geophysical equipment, work outdoors in varied terrain, and support site safety and maintenance.

This entry-level position welcomes individuals who want to grow with a top engineering firm, offers ESOP participation and competitive pay, and provides opportunities to travel locally and develop technical skills.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to walk outdoors long periods through varied terrain.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and operate equipment as needed.
• Available to travel daily; occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug screening are conditions of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate SUE field equipment safely including ground-penetrating radar, electromagnetic designation equipment, sewer camera, probe rod, jackhammer, chop saw, pneumatic tampers, vacuum excavation equipment, and other geophysical means.
• Exercise extreme caution near utilities and follow all job site safety parameters.
• Assist with maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and work sites.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
