Pickett, part of ESP Associates, is seeking a SUE Crew Chief in Lakeland, FL. This field-based role leads a crew performing subsurface utility engineering with Quality Level A and B work, coordinating field operations, and ensuring safety standards.

You will designate utilities, review drawings, operate GPR and EM locating equipment, and train crew members while maintaining project quality and schedules.

Qualificações

• 3–5 years of field experience in utility locating, including Quality Level A and B work.
• Knowledge of ASCE 38.02 and 38.22 is a plus.
• Ability to direct, schedule, and manage field crews in the field.
• Experience designating utilities, researching records, and interpreting drawings.
• Extensive knowledge of GPR, EM locating, and vacuum excavation.
• Experience with DOT, municipal, and/or public utility projects is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Direct and manage field crews; handle scheduling, quality control, and field decisions.
• Serve as the primary contact for field operations.
• Designate utilities and perform utility records research.
• Interpret site, roadway design and utility drawings.
• Operate GPR and EM locating equipment; oversee vacuum excavation.
• Prepare field sketches and photos; ensure safety standards.
• Provide training in locating and designating for crew members.
• Travel as needed and manage daily timesheets and checklists.
