Job summary

Anew Behavioral Health in Ohio is seeking a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Therapist to support clients facing addiction and co-occurring conditions. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice in the state you are providing services in.
• NPI and Medicaid Provider Number preferred and required to start work.
• Relevant certifications related to substance use treatment preferred.
• Experience in substance use treatment and knowledge of evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify substance use issues and co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs and goals.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions focused on addiction recovery and coping strategies.
• Provide psychoeducation regarding substance use disorders, treatment modalities, and relapse prevention techniques.
• Monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
• Collaborate with case managers, healthcare providers, and community resources to coordinate care for clients.
• Document all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes following agency and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing training and education to remain informed of best practices in the field of addiction treatment.
• Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards, including HIPAA regulations and agency policies.
