Job summary

Transitions in Erlanger, KY is seeking a SUD Technician to support residents in a Residential Treatment Center. You will help plan and supervise activities, promote safety, and collaborate with the Treatment Team to foster a positive, supportive environment.

This role emphasizes confidentiality, engagement with clients, and assisting with admissions, transportation, and monitoring UA/BA tests as needed, while supporting other clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree or Peer Support Specialist Certification with six months of behavioral health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, conducting and supervision of activities for clients.
• Document all significant interactions with each client.
• Identify emergency signals and respond appropriately.
• Interact with clients to provide guidance, safety, stability and direction.
• Maintain client confidentiality.
• May provide admissions and discharge services, and transport clients to appointments or recreation.
• Monitor milieu activity and ensure safety during all scheduled shifts.
• Monitor/observe UA or BA tests as needed and document results.
• Support other clinical staff as needed.

The SUD Technician provides milieu management and ensures safety of individuals or groups in the Residential Treatment Center. As an integral member of the Treatment Team, he/she is committed to enhancing lives every day by promoting and participating in a positive, supportive, cooperative team environment.

• Assists with planning, conducting and supervision of activities of the client population.
• Documents all significant interactions with each client.
• Identifies emergency signals and situations and reacts appropriately.
• Interacts with client population in order to provide guidance, safety, stability and direction.
• Assures client confidentiality.
• May provide admission and discharge services, transportation of clients to appointments or recreation activities.
• Monitors milieu activity and ensures safety, remaining awake and alert throughout all scheduled shifts.
• Monitors/observes Urinalysis (UA) or Breath Alcohol (BA) tests as needed and documents appropriately.
• Supports other clinical staff as needed.
