Personalized Nursing LIGHT House (PNLH) seeks a Site Supervisor for our Canton, MI location to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Intensive Out-patient Program with Housing (IOPD) in Canton, MI.

The role combines clinical and administrative duties, including caseload management and delivery of individual and group therapy for adults with substance use and co-occurring disorders, guided by the LIGHT model.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
• Full licensure (LMSW, LPC, LP, etc.).
• Minimum two years of experience in substance use disorder counseling (preferably 5+).
• CADC/CAADC/MCBAP Development Plan or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to lead, motivate and inspire others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and supervision to the LIGHT House team.
• Coach and direct staff; assist with evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Manage admissions and discharges to the program.
• Deliver weekly individual therapy for assigned clients.
• Ensure licensing standards (State Licensing and CARF) are implemented.

Position Summary

The Site Supervisor is primarily responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of the Intensive Out‑patient Program with Housing (IOPD) in Canton, MI. The Site Supervisor oversees all Canton program staff—including primary therapists, group therapists, and support staff—to ensure quality services are performed in a safe and efficient manner. This position combines clinical and administrative duties. The Site Supervisor also holds a caseload and delivers individual and group therapy to adult clients with substance use and co‑occurring mental health disorders. The LIGHT model guides clinical decision‑making and supports clients in achieving sustainable recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide oversight, educational and supervisory support to the LIGHT House team members.
• Lead and oversee all personnel, assist in clinical supervision of staff, and provide coaching and direction to employees.
• Assist with completing performance evaluations and disciplinary actions in collaboration with the Site Director and Human Resources.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and respond to client needs.
• Ensure groups are facilitated as scheduled.
• Oversee client admissions and discharges to the program.
• Ensure all State Licensing and CARF standards are fully implemented.
• Engage in clinical activities by caring a caseload as directed by the Clinical Director; provide weekly individual therapy for assigned clients.
• Ensure employees are properly trained for their assigned duties.
• Serve as an emergency on‑call and emergency responder when necessary.
• In conjunction with the Clinical Director, facilitate supervision of interns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related Human Services field.
• Full licensure (LMSW, LPC, LP, etc.).
• Minimum two years of experience in substance use disorder counseling, preferably five or more years.
• CADC, CAADC, or MCBAP Development Plan (support provided to obtain plan if not currently held).
• Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire others.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred:

• Training and experience in trauma‑informed care.
• Experience treating co‑occurring mental health disorders.
• Familiarity with authorization processes for Michigan’s PIHP system.
