Job summary

Sky Ranch Behavioral Services in Sioux City, IA is seeking a Substance Use and Mental Health Access Navigator to support clients in gaining timely access to care. The role emphasizes 65% direct client contact, individual and group counseling, and navigation across services.

The Navigator will conduct assessments per ASAM Criteria, coordinate with courts, DHS, and other agencies, and ensure compliance with confidentiality and ethical standards. Evening hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC) or tcADC.
• Experience as a substance use counselor preferred.
• Possess Dependent Adult and Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Certificate.
• Possess a valid Driver’s License with proof of motor vehicle insurance.
• Demonstrated experience in providing culturally responsive services.
• Experience working with at risk individuals.
• Good written and verbal skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work with limited supervision.
• Ability to build collaboration and motivate healthy changes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and determine level of care using ASAM Criteria.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions.
• Participate in team meetings, outreach, and trainings.
• Support clients in achieving recovery goals and navigating care.
• Maintain required reports and use electronic health records.
• Liaise with probation, court systems, DHS and similar agencies.
• Model professional, ethical, and confidential practice.
