Job summary

Harmony Health in Perris, CA seeks a Substance Use Disorder Counselor (SUD Counselor) to support our clinic. Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Chemical Dependency, or related field.
• Active certification or registration as Substance Use Disorder Counselor in California (CADTP/CCAPP/CAADE) in good standing.
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical work in SUD setting.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification (or ability to obtain).
• Proficiency with EHR systems and clinical documentation.
• Knowledge of Native American cultural traditions.
• Ability to pass background checks and TB clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counseling using MI, CBT, and harm reduction.

• Develop and review individualized treatment plans with patients.

• Review toxicology results and tailor interventions.

• Assist with emotion regulation and aftercare planning.

• Collaborate with medical, nursing, and psychiatry staff on progress.
