Job summary

Prosperous Health is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor to provide counseling, education, and structured support for individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders. You will lead groups, assist in treatment planning, and help clients build skills for long‑term recovery in a structured clinical setting.

The ideal candidate brings experience in addiction treatment, strong interpersonal abilities, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in substance use disorder treatment or behavioral health settings.
• Knowledge of addiction recovery principles and evidence-based practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups focused on addiction recovery and relapse prevention.
• Support development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct client screenings, assessments, and ongoing progress evaluations.
• Provide relapse prevention education and recovery-focused skill building.
• Support clients in developing coping strategies and healthy life skills.
• Monitor and report client progress to clinical team.
