Job summary

Western Sierra Medical Clinic is seeking a counselor to support individuals with substance use disorders in Auburn, CA. The role involves individualized or group counseling, development of treatment plans, and coordination with other care providers.

Qualified candidates will have CADC-I certification or higher and a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred, and experience with electronic practice management systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• CADC-I level counseling certification or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, counseling, public administration or related field preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish preferred).

Responsibilities

• Counsel clients or patients, individually or in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies.
• Interview clients, review records, and confer with other professionals to evaluate individuals' condition and suitability for participation.
• Develop client treatment plans based on research, clinical experience and histories.
• Complete and maintain accurate records or reports regarding histories and progress.
• Participate in community outreach and quality improvement.
