Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Counselor to deliver evidence-based behavioral health services to inpatients and outpatients. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to assess social, psychological, and emotional needs and coordinate care with families and referral sources.

Education includes Master’s degrees in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related fields. Licensure pathways (LSW/LCSW/LCPC/CADC/CRADC/CSADC/CAADC) within 2 years are required, with 1 year of behavioral health experience

Qualifications

Licensed Social Worker (LSW) within 2 years - IDFPR
LCSW or LCPC within 2 years - IDFPR
Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CADC) within 2 years - IAODAPCA
Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CRADC) within 2 years - IAODAPCA
Certified Supervisor Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CSADC) within 2 years - IAODAPCA
Certified Advanced Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CAADC) within 2 years - IAODAPCA

Responsibilities

Provides evaluation, counseling and therapeutic services to chemically dependent patients/families assessing problems and history.
Makes recommendations for treatment and acts as a liaison with the treatment network.
Maintains communication with referral sources, families, or others involved in the patient’s treatment.
Supports the patient and family throughout treatment and assists with post-treatment planning.
Coordinates the patient’s care with the interdisciplinary team.
Develops individual treatment plans.
Facilitates programming for court ordered referrals.
Documents per department guidelines.
Maintains knowledge of managed care and precertification activities.
Participates in weekend inpatient evaluations on a rotating basis.
