Position Summary

The Success Coach Supervisor provides leadership, supervision, and program oversight for a team of Success Coaches supporting adults working toward economic stability and mobility. This role ensures high-quality, strength-based service delivery grounded in human services frameworks considering environmental and structural inequities, the social determinants of health, fidelity to program models, and consistent outcomes across communities.

This position will also be responsible for maintaining Success Coach fidelity to JFCS’s Catalyst for Economic Mobility initiative. Participants in JFCS career preparation and support programs who meet program eligibility requirements may receive a stipend for up to 18 months through the Catalyst for Economic Mobility. This stipend will allow them to achieve greater financial stability as they build toward the future. Success Coaches will guide participants enrolled in the Catalyst for Economic Mobility through “light touch” support and barrier reduction in addition to support with goal setting and resource navigation.

Duties and Responsibilities
Staff Supervision & Development
  • Collaborate with Directors and staff members both internally and from other organizations to ensure that referral information is complete, enabling a clear understanding of client needs and urgency, and to assign clients to Success Coaches.
  • Provide regular individual and group supervision to Success Coach, emphasizing reflective practice, ensuring that direct reports incorporate clients’ specific circumstances into the development of targeted strategies, and use strengths‑based approaches to guide client interactions.
  • Support staff in identifying challenges and opportunities to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Monitor staff workload, caseload balance, and performance to ensure sustainability and quality.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development of coaching staff.
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive team culture grounded in learning, accountability, and respect.
Program Quality & Fidelity
  • Ensure the program is delivered consistently across communities and aligned with the established human services and economic mobility framework.
  • Monitor fidelity to core program components, including intake, service plans, client ownership of action steps, and referral practices.
  • Review case notes, service plans and documentation for quality, completeness, and adherence to program standards.
  • Identify variations in quality or adherence across staff and provide targeted coaching or corrective support as needed.
  • Support thoughtful adaptations that respond to client needs while preserving core program principles.
Client Services Oversight
  • Provide consultation and guidance on complex client situations, barriers, and system navigation challenges.
  • Support direct reports in maintaining healthy boundaries to prevent burnout and ensure that Success Coaches develop relationships with clients that promote self‑reliance rather than dependency.
  • Support staff in making effective warm referrals and maintaining strong relationships with community partners.
  • Ensure services remain client‑centered, culturally responsive, and grounded in dignity and respect.
  • Step in to support direct service delivery as needed during high‑demand periods or staffing gaps.
Training & Capacity Building
  • Support staff participation in the development of coaching skills, motivational interviewing, and strength‑based models.
  • Reinforce learning through supervision, observation, and feedback.
  • Identify training needs based on program data, staff feedback, and observed practice trends.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of the most pertinent and up‑to‑date resources and systems for which clients may need referrals
  • Promote continuous learning and reflective practice across the team.
Documentation, Data & Compliance
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent documentation in the program’s case management system (Apricot).
  • Monitor data quality to support outcome tracking, reporting, and funder compliance. Generate program reports for funders and external communications and requests for data.
  • Collaborate with leadership to review program outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, data privacy regulations, and mandatory reporting laws.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Serve as a liaison between frontline staff and program leadership.
  • Contribute to program planning, improvement efforts, and cross‑department collaboration.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners to strengthen referral pathways and service coordination.
  • Collaborate with JFCS Development staff to generate program reports and respond to data requests for funders and grant proposals
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work, education, or related field, Master’s degree preferred
  • Strong administration, management, training, and organization skills. - Minimum 3 years of experience with case management, service coordination and a program monitoring background.
  • Experience with quality assurance reports.
  • Substantial ability to effectively interact with people of various cultural backgrounds and ability to respond appropriately to the cultural characteristics of the clients. - Excellent team player with organizational and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in the field, car, and ability to maintain PA driver’s license and auto insurance required.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly Word and Excel required; prior experience using data and tracking systems is strongly preferred.
