Job summary

Subway is seeking a Manager onboarding to lead daily operations, ensuring guest satisfaction and food quality in a fast-paced setting. You will supervise staff, manage scheduling, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards.

You will also handle inventory, cash controls, and participate in local marketing efforts, community outreach, and event planning. Excellent communication and team leadership are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills and ability to interact with guests and team members.
• Experience in supervising and training staff is required.
• Computer knowledge and point-of-sale systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest experience and ensure great food is prepared and served.
• Keep the restaurant clean, functional, and visually appealing.
• Assist in inventory control and money handling procedures.

Job description

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Manager will focus on eight main things:

• Providing an excellent guest experience
• Ensuring that great food is prepared & served

• Coordinating local marketing initiatives, including community outreach

In addition to the role of a Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Recruiting and rewarding outstanding Team members
• Ensuring safety and security protocols are followed. Including being aware of local and national healthy and food safety codes
• Maintaining business records and analyzing them to help increase sales
• Identifying and contacting prospective Guests to promote sales
• Supporting local and national marketing initiatives, ensuring restaurant is ready on every level for the beginning of a new marketing window
• Planning special events and promotions

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred

Experience

A minimum of 2 years in a restaurant environment, experience in supervising and training staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is essential.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
