Job summary

Subway - 5705-0 is seeking a Restaurant Manager in Kansas City, MO to lead daily operations and deliver an excellent guest experience. The role focuses on food quality, safety, and driving sales while ensuring the restaurant is clean, functional, and welcoming.

The manager will recruit and train staff, manage inventory and cash controls, and support local marketing initiatives. This position offers full-time hours with day/evening/weekend shifts, and opportunities for growth within the brand.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication is required.
• 2+ years in a restaurant, with supervisory experience.
• Computer knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with all levels of team members.
• Operate the restaurant POS system and manage cash.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety and security standards.
• Manage inventory and records, analyze data to increase revenue.
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
• Support local marketing initiatives and promotions.
• Plan and staff shifts including day, evening and weekend.

Job description

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Manager will focus on eight main things:

In addition to the role of a Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Recruiting and rewarding outstanding Team members
• Ensuring safety and security protocols are followed. Including being aware of local and national healthy and food safety codes
• Maintaining business records and analyzing them to help increase sales
• Identifying and contacting prospective Guests to promote sales
• Supporting local and national marketing initiatives, ensuring restaurant is ready on every level for the beginning of a new marketing window
• Planning special events and promotions

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred

Experience

A minimum of 2 years in a restaurant environment, experience in supervising and training staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is essential.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
