Since 1993, T2 Utility Engineers has delivered professional Subsurface Utility Engineering and surveying services supporting infrastructure projects of all sizes. Using advanced technologies, our team of technicians, engineers, and surveyors provides quality data and insights to help clients visualize, plan, and design their projects. Our mission is to provide stakeholders with quality information and deliverables that streamline construction, enhance safety, and set industry standards.

SUE Technician III Responsibilities:

1. Mastery in operating SUE utility locating and designating equipment in complex utility environments to accurately map all utilities within the project area.
2. Complete detailed, accurate daily reports, forms, and field sketches, electronically and by hand.
3. Supervise daily SUE field crew activities and train team members.
4. Represent T2ue in communication with clients, subcontractors, and third parties during field activities.
5. Maintain, clean, and operate vehicles, equipment, tools, and supplies effectively.
6. Facilitate daily tailgate safety meetings.
7. Perform daily job hazard analysis with crew members.
8. Drive commercial motor vehicles; a CDL license is not required.
9. Set up safety measures for traffic maintenance, including signage.
10. Complete monthly equipment inventory for supervisor reordering.

Qualifications for Tech III:

1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. At least 2 years of experience as a SUE Field Tech II.
3. Ability to read and interpret utility prints and design plans.
4. Strong oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.
5. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
6. Ability to secure client-required identity verification (e.g., TWIC, SWAC).
7. Ability to pass pre-employment physical and obtain a DOT medical card (U.S. only).
8. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks necessary for operating heavy tools and equipment.
9. Ability to work outdoors in all climates.
10. Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight stays.
11. OSHA safety certifications are a plus.
