Job summary

Frey Consulting Group seeks a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Analyst to join our construction services team in an in-office role with regular attendance at field locations or in US offices. You will work with the SUE Department lead and Project Managers to perform SUE activities, provide field oversight, and train SUE field technicians.

You will lead field efforts, ensure safety, manage multiple crews, and coordinate office-field communication while maintaining project records and QA/QC

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years SUE experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Extensive knowledge of GPR, cable locating equipment and vacuum excavation.
• Strong problem solving and timely decision making.
• Working knowledge of ASCE 38-22.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and direct several SUE crews.

Responsibilities

• Lead SUE field efforts including planning, execution and quality control to meet client expectations, budgets, and schedules.
• Train SUE technicians assigned to the team.
• Communicate between office and field teams in writing and verbally.
• Perform initial QA/QC of field work performed by others.
• Direct field staff procedures and methods with the SUE Department Lead.
• Ensure health and safety compliance in field operations.
• Assist in SUE data processing, reporting and mapping.
• Maintain records, prepare reports, and correspondence for work assignments.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Analyst

Our client is seeking a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Analyst to join our construction services team. This role follows an in-office work model, requiring regular attendance at field locations or in one of our many US offices. This position works with the SUE Department lead and Project Managers to provide subsurface utility engineering (SUE) activities. Provides field oversight and quality control on projects throughout the organization. Primary role also includes directing and training SUE field technicians.

Responsibilities:

• Lead SUE field efforts including project planning, execution, and quality control to ensure client expectations, budgets, and schedules are met.
• Responsible for training SUE technicians assigned to the team
• Responsible for communication between office and field teams both written and verbal
• Responsible for initial QA/QC of field work performed by others
• Provides direction for field staff procedures and methods in conjunction with the SUE Department Lead
• Ensures SUE field health and safety compliance in conjunction with supervisors
• Assists in SUE data processing, reporting and mapping.
• Maintain records, prepare reports and prepares correspondence as needed related to the completion of work assignments.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to coordinate and direct multiple SUE crews.
• Operate standard office equipment (i.e., personal computer, plotter, facsimile, copy machine, etc.)
