Job summary

Community Charter School of Paterson is seeking flexible and dynamic Substitute Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. The substitute will provide instruction in the absence of the regular teacher and help maintain the curriculum to ensure continuity of learning.

Responsibilities include implementing lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, recording attendance, and communicating with students and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Valid teaching credential or substitute teaching permit as required by the state or district.
• Previous teaching experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a classroom and engage students.
• Flexibility to work on short notice and adapt to different classroom settings.
