Job summary

Kamehameha Schools Maui campus is seeking Substitute Teachers to support our K-12 campus by providing classroom coverage and instructional support as needed throughout the academic year.

These are temporary, on-call positions for the 2026–2027 School Year. A Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field is required and knowledge of instructional methods with the ability to work with diverse learners is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of instructional methods appropriate for students at the respective grade level.
• Desire and ability to work with students at the specified age level with diverse backgrounds and levels of ability toward accomplishing their educational goals.
• Ability to organize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines; manage groups of students in a classroom; communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• On an as-needed basis, serve as a substitute teacher at elementary, middle, and high school levels.
• Provide academic support for students enrolled in online courses.
• Provide academic support for students working independently on assignments, projects, or independent study.
• Other duties as assigned.
