Job summary

Camdenton R-III School District is seeking dedicated substitute teachers for the 2026/2027 school year. Substitutes implement lesson plans, maintain classroom management, and foster a safe learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher, upholding our culture of “Everyone Learning Every Day.” Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or higher and Missouri teaching certification.

Responsibilities

• Execute lesson plans provided by the regular teacher.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and orderly learning environment.
• Monitor students in classroom, hallways, cafeteria, and recess.
• Accurately take attendance, record student progress, and provide reports.
• Transition between different classrooms, subjects, and grade levels.
• Adhere to confidentiality and district procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Building Principal and Central Office administrators.

Essential Functions And Key Responsibilities

• Execute lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure students remain on track with curriculum goals.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and orderly learning environment; manage student behavior in accordance with school and district policies.
• Monitor students in the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, and during recess or other scheduled activities.
• Accurately take attendance, record student progress, and provide a detailed summary report for the teacher at the conclusion of the day.
• Successfully transition between different classroom environments, subject matters, and grade levels.
• Adhere to all school and district procedures, including strict confidentiality requirements regarding student information.
• Additional Duties: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Building Principal and other Central Office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Terms Of Employment

• Substitute certification - $125 per day
• Credentialed teaching certification - $145 per day
