Job Description

We believe our substitute teachers are critical for the continuity of the learning process when our classroom teachers are absent. Whether substitute teachers are giving direct instruction, monitoring students, or assisting staff, they ensure the day is purposeful and productive.

Qualifications

Education: Must have at least 60 college credit hours to qualify for a substitute certificate (per Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education).
Certification: Must have a Missouri Teaching Certificate or eligibility for a teaching certificate, and be eligible for a substitute certificate.
Experience: Preferred.
Benefits: Not Eligible.
FLSA Status: Exempt, Professional Exemption—Teacher.

Compensation

Daily Rate = $155/day (Missouri Substitute Certificate required).
Long‑Term (extended leave 15+ days) = $190/day
Permanent Substitute = $190/day
Permanent Substitute (commitment to minimum of 4 days a week) and a Missouri teaching certification.
