Substitutes working this fall semester can enjoy a temporary incentive of $10/day increase over the standard substitute pay rate. Those who work on Mondays and Fridays can expect an extra $20 per day increase. See the Salary section below for special rates per position.

Fall/Spring Semester Incentives (08/11/2026 - 5/22/2027)

• Daily Rate Tues- Thurs including the $10 incentive:
  • Teacher-GISD Retired - $145
  • Teacher-TX Certified - $125
  • Teacher-Degree, (Associate, 48 hours of college or Bachelor) - $110
  • Instructional Aide - $95
  • Non-instructional Aide - $85
• Monday/Fridays including incentive is another $10.
  • Teacher-GISD Retired - $155
  • Teacher-TX Certified - $135
  • Teacher-Degree, (Associate, 48 hours of college or Bachelor) - $120
  • Instructional Aide - $105
  • Non-instructional Aide - $95
